Wendi Patrick is a writing and editing consultant with over 30 years of experience in educational assessment, specializing in English Language Arts and Social Studies. She has written and edited large-scale student assessments for grades 2–12, including criterion- and norm-referenced tests, and has extensive experience in item writing, passage selection, alignment studies, and content and bias reviews. Wendi has also facilitated assessment workshops nationwide, supporting teachers and education leaders in the development of fair, effective testing materials.
In addition to her work in assessment, Wendi has held leadership roles in communications, publishing, and media, including serving as Managing Editor of Costa Rica Outdoors magazine and as Global News & Media Manager for Ericsson’s Latin America and Caribbean region.
Wendi earned her B.A. in Environmental Studies with honors from the University of California, Santa Cruz, where she specialized in agroecology and curriculum development. She is now pursuing a second degree at Kent State University in Fine Arts and Art History, with the goal of teaching high school and inspiring the next generation of artists and historians.
